What services does Dubai Public Prosecution offer?

Its official website lists among its most used services Case Inquiry, Request Status, Case papers photocopy, Bail Service, Receiving a passport and Stop the search, as well as objecting to a traffic violation and paying a traffic fine.

You can log in through the site, and the site is available in Arabic and English.

How do I find out if I have a case?

Use the Case Inquiry service on the official site. If you submitted a request, use Request Status to follow it.

If you cannot find a case, it may be at the police stage, or the details you are using may not match. Ask your lawyer to enquire directly.

Can I get the case papers?

The site offers a Case papers photocopy service. Your attorney may attend the investigation and review the investigation papers, unless the Prosecutor decides otherwise in the interest of the investigation (Article 98 of the Criminal Procedures Law).

Investigation procedures and results are confidential (Article 67), so a request may be limited, and a lawyer is usually better placed to obtain what is available.

What about bail and passports?

The Bail Service and Receiving a passport services appear on the same list. How they apply to you depends on your case and any bail conditions.

Do not try to use a service for a case you are not a party to. Ask your lawyer which service applies and what documents are needed.

What should I do first?

  1. Have your ID and any case number ready

    Names must match.

    dxbpp.gov.ae.

  3. Ask a lawyer to confirm the stage

    Police, prosecution or court.
